Back when fighting Terrorism was all the craze, the Department of Homeland Security made available a 39-page document seized from al-Qaeda, titled “Rough Presentation for Gas Limo Project”

The Gas Limo Project document lays out a scenario for using limousines to deliver bombs equipped with cylinders of a flammable gas.

Using Limousines as munitions’ delivery vehicles is nothing new. In this news article from MSNBC back in 2004 they cite the use of limousines  to deliver bombs to destroy buildings.

In 2007 seven al-Qaeda Sleeper Cell members were arrested and charged with plotting a dirty bomb attack using Limos. The men were in a “sleeper cell” led by Dhiren Barot, who is serving a life sentence for plotting to kill “hundreds if not thousands” of people using explosive-packed limousines and a ‘dirty’ radiation bomb, the court heard.

Now with all this said, why does the State of Nevada allow hundreds of Limousines to operate along the Las Vegas Strip corridor (most illegally) with basically zero oversight?

Limos come and go at every Hotel and the McCarran International Airport. They are given preferential parking spaces at Hotels, many times directly at the front doors of Casino Hotels. Most times parked illegally by low level Hotel Valets and Doorman working together with limo drivers to divert and steal lucrative taxi rides. Taxi drivers for years have complained about this aspect of the Las Vegas Limousine problem.

In this audio, Nevada Transportation Services (the Agency which regulates Limousines in Nevada) NTA Chairman Andrew MacKay cannot even understand the rampant issue of limousines in Las Vegas stealing taxi rides. What are the odds this Public Servant has any idea of the threat these same rogue Limo operators could be posing as a significant Terrorism threat?

On any given day over 200,000+ Las Vegas tourists are being exposed to hundreds of unregulated Limos which Federal authorities as well as International Law Enforcement understands are targeted by Terrorists as modes they prefer when committing terrorist acts, namely Limousines.

What is the point of TSA inspections at McCarran Airport when people pass thru and then are offered rides in unregulated, unsearched limousines? What is the point of operating checkpoints at McCarran for Terrorist Threats feet from staging limousines which have not been inspected?

When does the State of Nevada start enforcing Nevada Laws against illegally staged Limousines? When does Homeland Security begin to inspect Las Vegas limousines for terrorist threats? If they can make you remove your shoes at McCarran, why are they not inspecting Limousines?
